Young Artist Exhibit 2012 at the Art in the Loft

Crochet Class for Kids:
Today I taught crochet to a cool 10 year old at the Art in the loft in Alpena, MI. She had a little experience from her grandmother. I helped her learn to make a granny square and started a scarf. I really enjoyed teaching her, because I was the same age when I first stated to learn how to crochet. Also, I donated a few skeins of yarn for her to practice when she is at home. It was a very nice event for the kids to be exposed to the arts. There will be another class coming next Saturday, so if your in Alpena, MI it would be a great place to take the kids for the love of Art!

 This is a sunrise motif that I made last December. It is has freehand raised design within. I worked on this motif for about a month, trying to create a 3D sunrise affect.

Fingerless Gloves

Heres a pair of fingerless gloves I've just finished making (11/21). It's that time of the year again to keep those hands warm.  I'ts a basic hdc st design that I thought was pretty and easy to make.
